Recently I bought an Apple powerbook and I am wondering what is the best
setup
to use it with a Slimp3 and a Linux server (a PC from hush Technologies)
.. I would like to keep all the music files
on the Linux server and use iTunes to manage the music collection.
As far as I have seen there are several possibilities:
1) Use an NFS share from the Linux box to iTunes
2) Use a Samba share on the Linux box.
3) Use a daapd server on the Linux box.
According to a comment I have found, since daapd has been designed for
streaming music from the
beginning, it would be more appropriate than NFS or Samba.
Any other comments/suggetions?
Thanks much
