SB3 suddenly wont connect to SqueezeBox

I have a new Vista installation, SqueezeBox 7.4, 2 SB3s on a wireless network. All has been working fine, but today suddenly neither SB3 will connect to the server. Have tried wirelessly and wired. SqueezeBox server starts and seems ok. The SB3 connects to the network fine, but it falls over when it says "Connecting to server ..." which is then followed by "Cannot connect to server. Left to go back ... ". I have no idea what changed, except some Microsoft security updates came down (I have tried disabling the PC Tools firewall, Microsoft Essentials antivirus). The log file is below and sees to have some errors in it. Note the SB3 does connect to mysqueezebox.com

I got the same problem...

Suddenly SB3 doesnt connect to squeezecenter 7.3.4(squeezenetwork works fine and internetconnection works fine of course).

I have not changed a thing. Only thing that happened is a windows update.

Mine seems to be working now, after messing about with it quite a lot. I think it was to do with changing the user account name on the PC, but I am not 100% sure I'm afraid ...

Some but maybe unrelated to yor current problem, I see this:

Can't create/write to file 'C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox\Cache\MySQL\#sql_8f4_0. MYD'

This is usually Antirus software tripping up MySQL the database we are using ,Any problem scanning ?
Make exceptions for *.MYD and *.MYI files what av are you using McAffe home ?

have you recently upgraded from squeezecenter 7.3 to squeezeboxserver 7.4 , note the name change your firewall and AV software will regard this as a "new" aplication, check fw and av rules/settings .
EDIT: Note the actuall .exe has another name (

Thanks very much Mnyb, but as per my earlier post I have fixed this problem now. I have not fixed the Inguz problem however - any fix for that would be very gratefully received!

I just upgraded from 7.3.2 to 7.4.1 ealrier today. both SB3 & boom failed to connect to SC.

SC web interface was fine all along, but both players gave the 'failed to connect...' message.

Had to restart the SC server in the end, and then they both connected fine.
