View Full Version : Can't save internet radio to favorites when connected to mysqueezebox.com
When I am connected to my squeezebox server, if I click the big knob, or press the plus key, one of the options I have is "Save to Favorites". This option is missing when I'm connected to mysqueezebox.com. Is this a bug? I do have "save to favorites" functionality from my SB3 when connected to MySB.
Thanks!
George

Weird. I have the opposite problem. I don't have the option to save a fav internet station on my radio. I have to go to http://www.mysqueezebox.com/settings/favorites type in the url and then it shows up on my radio. Hmmm...

Actually, I think we have the same problem. When I'm connected to mysb.com, I don't have the option to save to favorites on my radio, but I can do so, from the web page. However, this problem doesn't exist when I'm connected to my local squeezebox server. Do you have a local squeezebox server? If so, try the same thing when listening to internet radio while connected to the local server. I do see the save to favorites option from the radio in that case.
Do you have a local squeezebox server?
Ummm...Not sure how to tell if I am or not. I'm very new to this.

Did you install anything to your home computer, and link up your itunes library, or other music stored on your computer?

On MSB (http://www.mysqueezebox.com/settings/favorites) it says "Tip: use the "+"button to add favorite". As this option is not available, this definitely is a bug.

The way favourites are handled is my biggest annoyance - http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68565
MySB.com and SqueezeboxServer have too different list of favourites, so when you are connected to MySB you will see a different list, and visa versa. It's very bizarre.

I think I understand now. No, I haven't installed anything yet on my desktop or linked my iTunes music.
Thanks for the hint!

maybe a stupid question but did you already try to press the favorite-button for a few seconds to save them?
on my device I simply select one radio-station keep pressing the favorite-button and it is stored then

What button on your SB Radio are you pressing as your "Favorite" button?
I presume you mean the Favorite button on your SB IR remote, but the SB Radio does not ship with a remote.
For that matter, the SB IR remotes Favorite button doesn't seem to work on MySB nor SC7.4. :(

I was thinking of the 6 buttons next to the diplay
3 on the left / 3 on the right side
so far I did not have troubles to assign radio-stations to this buttons (connected to mySB.com) but I realized that one austrian radio-station always gets lost as soon as I reboot the SB radio

Ah, yes, those are Presets and are functioning on the SB Radio.
The problem related in this post is in regards to the Favorites, which is a much larger listing of saved streams.
