Hi,
I upgraded Squeezeserver and Duet Controller to 7.4 yesterday. Now I can't use the Controller as an iPod, because of 10-20 drop-outs of sound pr. minute.

So how do I go back to the old version? I have the installation-file for 7.3.2.
Can it be done like this:
1) Reset Controller to factory standards and turn off
2) Remove Server 7.4 from the PC
3) Install server 7.3.2
4) Turn on Controller and hope it upgrades to 7.3.2

Sure regret that I did not check this forum before uppgrading :-)

step 1 wont be needed, all other steps are correct and should work

Before doing the work, you might also want to read from here on:

- copy the jive file on an SD card (some SDHC cards work also)
- put the SD card in the controller
- start the controller and go to the firmware update screen
- there is a selection for the memory card (can't remember the exact wording)

This did work for me and I'm happy again with the 7.3 firmware :-)

when You do downgrade and after You want to conect to mysqueezebox.com it will want to update to 7.4.0 again, I tried it and this is my experiences.

Now I'm back on 7.3.2, and can again play music directly from Controller :-)

Tried downgrading only Controller via SD-card, but it insisted on upgrading to 7.4 when connected to the server.

Thanks a lot for the help

I want to do that, too. But what is a jive file and from where I get it?

Thanks for help and Heavenicetrip! Fe/2

@BadTicket
Look at: http://update.slimdevices.com/update/firmware/7.3.3/
I've used the file: jive_7.3_r6038.bin and it works...

I've just updated my controller to 7.4 and it won't work with my Qnap server! Tried resetting back to factory settings but still at 7.4. How do you get back to 7.3?
