View Full Version : A better Favorites Page: Does it Exist?

I find the favorites page to be basically useless. In the default UI, you get tiny icons, the name of the album but no artist name. Albums are listed in the order in which they were added. I actually use (prefer) the Fishbone UI, but there it's even worse with no graphic.

What would be nice would be a display similar to the 'new music' display....ie a series of pages of album art icons. Number of albums per page the same as the default for 'new music'. Sorted alphabetically by Artist.

Is there a plugin that would do something like this? If not, I'd love it if someone wrote one!

Are you aware that you can edit the favorites list to add artist names or anything else you want? (hint: use the pencil icons) Or that you can re-order the favorites via drag-and-drop in the web ui? If you are already aware of that, what else is it you think should be available?

Well, had a look at the pencil option...doesn't do it for me sorry. Looks like if I want to add anything like artist name, I have to type it in myself? What I want is something that looks exactly like the 'new music' page, except not ordered by date/time, but alphabetically. I just want to be able to click on the heart symbol on any album...this gets it added to the favorites page & the next time I look at favorites, there it is in correct alpha sequence. Also I want to be able to hover the mouse arrow over an icon and the album by artist appears. Seems to be quite a simple display to me & I'm surprised no one else seems to want it.

Maybe you should file an enhancement request at bugs.slimdevices.com. And as they say, patches are welcome.
