Can I add a new menu item on SBC with LUA

Can I add a new top level menu item on the SqueezeBox Controller?

Can this we done with LUA or do I need to use Perl?

I found that you can indeed.

I found the doomsday code on the WIKI and used that which showed me how to do it.
