Hi, I recently bought a SB and have it streaming via WiFi

Have analogue out as well as coax digital out into a Yamaha DSP-E800 DAC,
into a NAD power amp.

Slimserver 5.1.5, Firmware 10

No probs at all with analogue out, all perfect.

Digital out - oh dear, I get around 1 second of every 5 - very choppy. The
bits I do hear are excellent quality though.

Tried a variety of MP3s, all the same symptoms.

One new thing which I dont know if anyone else has noted though.....

If I set the server to allow volume of digital out to be controlled with
remote and put the digital out volume WAY down (to around 3 out of 40) then
there is absolutely no choppinesss of music and all works fine - both
analogue AND digital outs.

Of course, the only problem then is you can barely hear the music!

So is the DSP being "swamped" by data etc. - anyone any nearer to resolving
this issue as I want quality external DAC for audio!

help please!

R

What's your receiver?

Have you tried playing PCM audio?
