Hi all. I just purchased a Squeezebox Duet, and cannot get any sound through my Squeezebox receiver's coax digital output. I have a set of Cambridge Soundworks 210D powered speakers. It has a digital coax input. When i connect my receiver to them with the digital coax output, I get no sound. When I use the analog RCA output connected to the same speakers into the Analog A input on the speakers, I get sound. When I take the digital coax cable from the speakers, and connect directly to my PC digital output (again I am just disconnecting from the Squeezebox receiver coax output and connecting the very same cable to the very same speakers, but using the PC's digital coax output) I get glorious sound. I have been on the phone with the helpdesk for 1 1/2 hours on this. They diagnosed it was a defective receiver. They sent a new receiver and the exact same thing is happening. Any suggestions are welcome. thanks in advance.

Hmmm - i see you still have no answer... I seem to recall that i read that you have to choose digital output to make it work... Don't remember where i read it or where you have to do it...

This isn't much help, huh?? Sry...

Any reason you don't just want to use the analog outputs? The DAC in the SBR is pretty good, probably better than that in the speakers.

Are you using a decent coax cable? Try a video cable.

The change to the video coax cable did the trick. Thanks for the advice. I may move to analog cables and see if I can hear any difference. My speakers are good for their price, but they are by no means fine speakers. Thanks again. case closed.
