recording analog

I'm new to the Squeezebox forum and equipment, and will be using the Transporter. I'm interested in recording .flac files of my analog albums. I'd be recording them at 24 bit, 96k sampling rate. I'm getting a good analog to digital converter and interface for my converter. What next? Can I record using dbPoweramp?

Since my previous post, I've learned about the currently absent "auxiliary input" on dbpoweramp v.13. Apparently, if you want to input analog, you have to use that feature, and the only way to get it is to download an older version of dbpoweramp (11.5) alongside the current version. Has anyone used Sound Forge for this purpose?
