If like me suddenly one day the tunes don't float from the speakers any more and nothing seems to fix the problem, first check to see if KIS9 (Kaspersky Internet Security 2009) is running on your machine?

If so KIS9 probably has triggered a false positive for a DOS.Generic.SYNFlood attack on your receiver?

Can't be bothered to read the rules re posting links so I won't post one but I will tell you that if you search DOS.Generic.SYNFlood on the Kaspersky forum or search same by my handle, ANZAC, then all will be explained.

I hope with this post I have saved at least one of you the many many hours that I wasted trying to resolve this problem…

Hi,
This morning I Could not get the system (duet) working. First the receiver was only showing a blue light indicating, that he cannot find the server. I tried to connect it, without success. At the end I tried to reset everything, by holding the button on the receiver until I go the fast red blinking on the receiver. That was somohow the end. I cannot get further until the red blinking LED on the receiver.

I could not find your post on DOS.Generic.SYNFlood. Can you please point me to your solution?
I do not have Kaspery installed.

regards
Gerald
