Controller without Receiver

This one I thought should be easy, but somehow, I can't get it to work. I only bought a controller, since I already have a classic and a boom. I can seemingly connect to SqueezeNetwork and SqueezeCenter with the Controller, but I can't select any of my players as "players". Also, I Can't browse any music.

What's the magic to properly set up a Controller if I don't have a Receiver?

Well, I figured it out. The players were connected to Squeeze Network and apparently the Controller cannot connect to Squeeze Network "out-of-the-box" (No pin). Bug?

Anyways, after switching one of my players to the local SqueezeCenter, and switching the Controller to the SqueezeCenter, I could select a player and suddenly everything worked. Then when I tried connecting to SqueezeNetwork, I got a Pin I could enter and now that works, too.
