I have 2 sb3's and have just tried to set up my new duet controller. I haven't got a Receiver as I understand I don't need one as I can run the duet via my wireless network.

The controller is getting stuck at the "Set Up Receiver" screen where it shows no receivers to set up as I haven't got one but it won't let me go past the screen.

Any ideas how to get past this?

Thanks

What happens if you press and hold the back button, and select choose player?

Yes it will go back to the previous screen where choose player is the only menu option available. Then it goes forwards again to the same screen with no players listed.

Kind of what I expect as I don't have a Receiver to set up right? But I think I just want to skip past this screen and start using SC7.2 with by SB3s!

Thanks
Jim

The SB should show up even though you don't have a Receiver to set up. I just did a factory reset on the Controller and unplugged the Receiver so that the Boom was the only thing to connect to and it worked ok.

I did have to go through the wireless network setup (is your wireless icon white and connected to _your_ network?), and when it got to 'set up Receiver' I used the back button to get out of that screen. Since Boom wasn't in the choose player screen I went into settings>music source from the same screen, to find that my server name wasn't listed either. A reboot of Squeezecenter and manually entering the IP address of the server allowed the Controller to see the Boom, but that shouldn't be required on most setups. You may need to look into firewalls or AV software blocking the communication.

If you continue having problems please consider contacting tech support via phone/email.

I am having the same problem, and I have both pieces. I can connect to the network fine, the wifi indicator is white. The controller can see the receiver, but when I try to click on it it just meeps and goes nowhere. Skip also does the same thing. I get a beep, and the screen scoots over a few pixels as if it's going to do something, but then nothing happens. I have reset both units twice, and have had no different results. These were working until I moved a year ago, and I just got them out again. I also just set one up for my parents, and it worked correctly.

Any help would be great.

TIA,
Alex
