Hi , when I downloaded the SC 7,1 version, I lost all of my great plugins on controller. When I got to the plugin page, it say that plugins a not yet available for controller. Why is that? I had them with the older version;shouldn't they follow along? Anyway, when do you think they will become available?
Thanks

Sounds like you might be confusing plugins (which run on SC) with applets (which run on SBC). For Controller applets, check out the applet page in the wiki: http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/SqueezePlay_Applets

My applets *always* disappear after a Controller update, but when I restart the controller again, they are back.

I will check the applet page, but; I definitely had plugins on my SC that were visible on my controller. I downloaded them myself
Thanks

Checked the applet page; they are mostly gams like tetris, etc. I am looking for the super time and date; weather, etc. By the way, I am on a MAC

If you upgrade to a more recent version of SC you may also need to upgrade the plugins, the message you're seeing is telling you that. Go back to the plugin's download page and get the latest version, then reinstall.

Some of them are, some of them aren't. SuperDateTime is (or at least was) working with the SBC, although it's not a screensaver as such. There are probably some others that work, like Dynamic Playlists and OtherPlayers. WeatherDateTime has not been re-written to use SBC's LCD, as compared to SB's display (WDT's author just had a kid, so doesn't have a lot of spare coding time on his hands).

Plugins are typically written by non-Logitech contributors, and making the conversion from SB/SB2/SB3/Boom to SBC is not always trivial. Also, changes in SC can break things, such as a late change to SC7.2 beta that broke WDT. Fortunately in that case some other users stepped in with modified code to get it working again. As they say, patches are welcome ;o)
