Compile SqueezeCenter to improve perf

I would like to know if it is possible to compile (perlcc) Squeezecenter in order to improve performance on slow systems (e.g. QNAP nas)?

Hi mexicanw, I have also a Qnap (TS-409) and I'm looking to compile squeezecenter to get better performances. Did you succeed using perlcc?
