If I want to assign a web radio or a music from MP3tunes, Can you confirm that I can only choose something in my favorites ?

No. The alarm will sound whether the Boom is off or on, even if the Boom is playing at the time.

Pretty much, yes. You could also create a saved playlist that contains the items you want to play and use that instead. Favorites is the easier route.

Will the alarm work properly if the network connection breaks?

The next scheduled alarm will play a firmware-generated tone sequence. After that alarm though you should get it reconnected to a server.
