View Full Version : boom and squeezenetwork problem

It may not be a boom problem, but I can no longer connect to
squeezenetwork. This started at 6:30am when the display seemed
to freeze.

My two other SB3s connect to SN just fine.

The strange thing is I can't delete my boom from squeezenetwork.
The web UI says the player is connected, even after I disconnected it
(and even powered it off.) I can't delete the player from squeezenetwork, because it is still "connected". It seems that the squeezenetwork
might have gotten a bit confused.

The boom connects just fine to my squeezecenter software, and otherwise
seems okay.

Any way to factory reset the boom so that it connects to Squeezenetwork
with a new identity? Or ?

Thanks,

George

I am having the same issues see the following thread:

When I try to connect to SN with the Boom, it hangs
on "obtaining an IP address..."

Pressing left arrow allows me to get back to the network
menu and connect to SC instead, which works.

Given that and the fact that I can't delete the player
from SN leads me to think that there is
something wrong on the SN server side or the Boom configuration. But that is just a guess.

Hmm I can't reproduce. I assume it happens to you every time to you, what do you have to do to trigger it?

SN and Boom work fine for me. Andy, this sounds similar to the issue I had during beta where something got "stuck" on the SN side and it thought my Boom was already connected when it wasn't.

Re: andyg:

To reproduce, all I do is connect to SN and then it hangs. Happens
every time. Only SC works now. My other two SB3s are just fine
with SN. The web UI for SN refuses to delete my Boom and lists
it as connected when it clearly is not.

Is there any info I can provide that might help troubleshoot
this if it is a SN server side issue?

Hmm, can you PM me your MAC address?

Andy...

Same thing here as well. SC works fine and SN fails and causes the SBB to display a blank/black screen and sometimes will hang at "Welcome to....." This was working fines yesterday and last night and I have not changed anything in my enviornment. Also, I can't remove from SN either and I am not connected.

Thanks

Thanks. What is your Boom doing right now?
