I'm not 100% sure, but my understanding is that they are available in stores
in many countries. Can anybody confirm that?

The whole team here -- from engineering, program management, marketing,
manufacturing, sales -- all worked really hard to have product available at
launch date, and if they're not in the stores today, they will be soon.

I also think that they will be ready to ship very soon. I will most certainly buy from the Logitech Online shop because the price won't be much lower in other online shops (local dealers probably won't have it in my 'rural' area anyway), shipping is only 5€ and probably done by UPS (was so for SB3 for me) and if they ship on a monday I will get it on wednesday, so no express needed for me.

I was mistaken on my prior statement. I spoke to some of the German
sales/marketing force here today, and there will be about a 1 week delay
before the units hit the retail stores here. Dunno about shipping from the
online stores. My last understanding is that they should already be on
shelves in the US. Has anybody checked yet!? I'm really psyched :-)

Spoke to salesperson at Logitech ecommerce (called them having had problems with their on-line ordering system) who said that the Boom unit was not in stock, and would not be available for some time.

Been given incorrect information before from helplines so not sure this is correct. Has anyone who ordered in the UK got confirmation of delivery date, or a shipping tracking number to indicate their unit is on the way?

O Rly? Damn. I was so excited when I placed my order on Thursday that I didn't even notice whether it was in stock or not. But you're right, on logitech.co.uk if you add the Boom to the cart it does say that it is not in stock.

Although I have an order number and the logitech site says I have ordered a Boom, I have no email confirmation of anything. No money has been taken from my card either. But I'll let them off for a few days, releasing worldwide on the same day can't be easy.

Got Squeezecenter installed and configured with a few plugins, a cute DNS name reserved for it, space cleared on my shelf and everything :) Hope they get it sorted soon so I can stop obsessing over it!
