The manual (I always like reading manuals before buying a product) says
"Squeezebox Boom’s rear panel contains a 3.5mm stereo input jack for
connecting MP3 players, CD players, or just about any device with line
level or headphone output. To select the line input when connected to
SqueezeCenter or SqueezeNetwork, just connect your device using the
included 3.5mm stereo cable, hit play on your device, and adjust the volume"
I thought that headphone out and line out were very different things, and that an iPod or other MP3 player only had a headphone out.
Am I wrong in this, or does the Boom have the ability to check which is being used and modify settings suitably?
