Not getting my wired hook-up

I am following the instructions for the wired method. The SB3 will not obtain the IP address automatically using DHCP. I use the Run and IPCONFIG method suggested, and get the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway. I don't see a specific address of the DNS server. It is still not connecting, and the wire is working as I can unplug and it notices right away. How do I get the DNS server address? Why is the auto DHCP function not working? I am using a Dynex 5 port router with the incoming connection on the Uplink port.

Can you post (i.e. copy & paste) what you get from "ipconfig /all"? Also please describe what is attached to each port of the router.
