How do I limit ARTIST list to just ALBUM ARTISTS?

I've been searching the forum for a while and have not come up with a definitive solution. If I missed it, please just post link without flames. thx.

I have many compilation albums that show up under Various Artists (as expected), but I want to keep the artists on those albums out of the list when I scroll through artists (on both SC Browser and SBC). What is the best combination of tags and SC settings to achieve this result?

If the albums are already recognized as being compilations, then simply setting "Group compilation albums together" on Settings/Music Library should do the trick.

You can also set the group by band if your album artist is from itunes or any other program most likely. Try that and if it works, great. If not then turn it off. Most album artist tags are actually band tags.
