Problem with ID3 tags not appearing correctly in SlimServer

New Squeezebox owner, I have a library of c. 8000 files which all appear
to be tagged correctly - I use them in Media Center and my iPod, but today
I've checked using a dedicated tagging program and made sure that both the
ID3v1 tags and ID3v2 tags are set OK.

In Slimserver, some of these files are showing up with the Album as the
Artist.

So for example, I have 7 tracks in the directory My Music/Buggles/Age of
Plastic.

In SlimServer, when I "Browse Artists", both "The Age of Plastic" and
"Buggles" appear as Artist names, with 3 songs listed under "Buggles" ->
"The Age of Plastic" and 4 under "The Age of Plastic" -> "The Age of
Plastic"

If I Browse Albums, under "The Age of Plastic" I get 7 songs by 2 artists.

The tagging program I'm using (Tag&Rename) shows no difference in the tags
between these files.

I'm sure it's something obvious, but I've been hunting for it for a day...
