Hello All,

I'm new to squeezebox. Mine should be showing up tomorrow. I'm running
Slackware-current.

I've played with the server software a bit, but I had to start the
process manually.

1. I'm running slackware and would like to know if anybody has created
a .tgz slackpackage of the current slimserver.

2. If not, where do I get the slimserver source. I'd like to
experiment with CheckInstall and compile my own binaries and then store
as .tgz.

3. What work-arounds are there for those not using rpm's to manage
software.

Any & all replies appreciated.

Not yet. You can be the first.

SlimServer is in perl, so there aren't any binaries as such. If you've
grabbed the .tgz of the server, you have everything.

I run Gentoo, and while there is an ebuild somewhere, I've been doing a
little dev work so I just 'cp -a * /home/slimserver' from the build I'm
installing (which frequently is the cvs snapshot).
