Subtitles / srt Files on qnap / synology

Hi community,

I'm actually in the decision between Qnap TS-109 and Synology DS107+.
I' ve read that the 107+ supports srt subtitles. Anyone tested this?
I was wondering if it would be possible to watch vids (i.e. avi) via my dreambox (upnp client) with srt subtitles.

Surely that is completely down to the client player rather than the device theya are stored on.

Unless of course the player is relying on the media server app loaded on the NAS. But then that isn't a question relating to SlimServer or any Logitech/SlimDevices product. You can probably find this answered better on other forums.
