I'm wondering if anyone has used the slimserver software, or similar, to control an LED display minus the playback part (as I want to keep costs down by using an existing Via box which would also be the server to provide the sound output. The display could be USB controlled instead of ethernet, for that matter.
Even thoughts about suitable hardware to use would be a start.
