Just downloaded and installed latest SC(Version: 7.0 – 15454) and firmware for JHB(r1228).
WOW… its now a remote I am happy to use.
Long lists are quick to scroll through (although having some sort of ‘accelerator’ as you keep turning the jog wheel would improve things further), artwork appears fairly quickly.
Power, shuffle, repeat etc seem to stay in sync most of the time and generally it’s perfectly usable.
A few thing I have noticed are browsing by Music Folder returns a blank screen. (even after waiting over 5mins)
Now playing can take 10 seconds or more to update when track changes.
If Squeezebox is turned off using web interface or normal remote the JHB stays on the Now Playing screen. You need to press a button to make it return to the main menu.
I’m sure there will be a few more things I will find as I play more, but overall very impressed with the progress being made.
