Hi

I am using Mypicks and love it :-)

Does anyone know if it posibble to copy/export the stations from my local slimserver to the squeezenetwork. Right now I have used some time making the exact list of stations I want on my server and would love to be able to copy it. I can manage to export it as a OPML file, but can't seem to find a way to import it to squeezenetwork.

Thanks!

/Claus

There may be some built-in way to do it which has been introduced recently, but what I did a while back (on someone's suggestion here) was to:

1) upload the OPML files to my webspace;
2) add them under SN/Favourites/Podcasts;
3) put podcasts in the top SN Menu level.

Not that elegant but it works.

Yeah ok. Then I just need a little hint to where to upload :-) I mean I can't seem to find anywhere where I can upload something to SN? Not in favorites, not in podcasts, not anywhere?

You need to put the OPML files on the web or file space somewhere - so they have a "http://" address. Then you give the "http://" address to SN.

Try adding this link to your SN/Podcasts settings:

http://melford.fastmail.co.uk/virgin_radio_uk.opml

You should then be able to browse to the opml file and play via SN. I'll leave it up for a couple of hours btw.

It's a bit late now - but if you put your stations in to SN first, then you can link SN favorites into MyPicks through the opml link at the bottom of the SN "My Favorites" page.

In SC 7.0 - MyPicks became the basis for favorites and uses OPML. Also there is improved synchronisation between SN and SC - although I haven't tried it yet.

I wonderd when you would reply :-)

Guess it wouldn't take me to long to to copy the station URL's into the SN favorites...

Thanks again :-)

A good way to do this, without the need to have your own website to host the opml file and assuming your are happy to share with the list with the community is to upload your opml file to the WikiRadio list (http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.cgi?WikiRadio). This has the added advantage of making the list accessible via WikiRadio (in SC7 this is now in AlienBBC rather than a standalone plugin).
