I'm waiting for the "big" firmware update to come down the pipe but I don't think I see it. For that matter, I haven't seen new firmware in about a week and I'm wondering if my SC is pulling it as it should. However when I updated to the most recent nightly SC pulled a lot of data from the Internet, so something is going on.

Where should it be stored? I'm looking in /usr/share/slimserver/lib/Cache but there's only "FileBackend.pm" there. I know it's in a "Cache" directory, and there's also /usr/share/slimserver/CPAN/Cache, nothing there either.

If you can find the preferences file you can look it up in there.
The entry is "cachedir", I think.

Aha, I was locating files based on "whereis slimserver", which spat back /usr/sbin/slimserver /usr/share/slimserver and /etc/slimserver

However slimserver.prefs lists cachedir: /var/cache/slimserver and indeed there is "jive_1_r757.bin" in there. Not the one with the big firmware update unfortunately.
