I just got my Jive beta package...very nice looking!

I installed the battery, it booted up and I was able to connect to my wireless network. It took me to the "Choose Player" screen, but there were no players listed. There should be three: a Transporter (wired) and 2 SB3s (wireless).

So...I followed the instructions on the wiki and updated the Jive firmware to r738 via SD card and scp. The firmware update seemed to go well.

But, I'm back at the blank "Choose Player" screen with no players listed. If I go to Controller Settings->Music Source it shows my slimserver (version 7, installed and updated nightly via svn, running on Fedora 7). Selecting the slimserver, the jive shows the correct IP and port, but the Version info is blank.

Can anyone give me a clue here as to why I'm not seeing any players listed in the Jive? Could there be something missing on the slimserver end from having installed via svn rather than rpm?

Restart slimserver and restart the JHW. It should then find the players.
This is a known issue, others have already reported it, but I haven't checked if there is a bug report.

How about a sticky at the top of this forum with some basic Jive documentation, e.g. how to turn it off, how to reset, updated list of known problems, etc?

I'm assuming that there is a 2nd (or 3rd) wave of new beta testers now who are scratching their heads along with me.

bugzilla and wiki already cover these. Each are the central
locations for problems and docs.
