Wondering if any thought has been given to internationalization -
can we expect support for translated menus and for album/song metadata with foreign characters ?

We are working hard to support 5 languages beyond English: French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Dutch. We have a 3rd party that is providing translations for strings as we produce them.

The hardware supports special characters (UTF-8).

That's great. Are you offering to help with the translations, or the code as well?

I know some parts of the C code have broken utf-8 support at the moment so the rendering may not be correct. We have not looked at right to left rendering at all yet, so help with that would be good too.
