WLAN - better antenna

Good afternoon

I run my SB3 on wireless. The box gets her signal by an Apple Extreme Base Station.

The problem is: whyle my imac has a WLAN signal of 97% - the SB3 only of 33% - often she disconnects.

Does anyone know if there is a possibility to improve the receiver part or the antenna?

The SB3 has a fairly reasonable antenna configuration, how far is your airport from the imac vs how far from the SB3?

A few people have bought replacement antenna parts and drilled holes in the back of the box and put new antennas on.

If you're not afraid of a drill and a torx driver, you can pick up U.FL -> RP-SMA pigtails and antennas from http://www.netgate.com

I would not suggest the 7dbi antennas for the SB3 tho, they're a bit big. :)
