Pink Martini in Concert

Yes, will be seeing Pink Martini in concert tomorrow night. I'm excited. On the same bill will be Arturo Sandoval and Dianne Schuur. Billed as Latin Jazz night at Ravinia in Chicago.

Should be fun!

By strange coincidence, I just picked up the "Hang on Little Tomato" album today (complete with Veronique).

We saw Pink Martinia at Wolf Trap, an ampitheater in N. VA, near DC, on June 18th. Wolf Trap has covered orchestra seats and lawn seats on a gently skoping hill down to the stage.

We sat on the lawn with our blanket, picnic basket and cooler. Absolutely great - Sounded just like the CD's. They played for over 2 hrs w.out a break.+

Somewhat bizarrely - having never never heard of Pink Martini other than on the SB image on the SD website - Michael Parkinson was playing them on Sunday - he says he really rates them as one of his fav band at the moment.
