I know I should know this..but can someone help?

As I said up front -- for as much as I live on my SBs in both my homes and the office I should flipping know the answer to this - but I don't. So here is the question:

When playing a list of songs on Squeezenetwork, how do I save the current now playing list as a playlist or favorite? Can it be done from the remote? I can't see it anywhere in the web UI.

I know there is a behavior like this on slimserver locally (don't know that one either mind you) but I am assuming there is parity on the SN. Basically I want to be able to throw some of my good now playing lists that combine rhapsody tracks and mp3tunes.com tracks --

So any help would be appreciated.

Since my previous question was specific to Squeezenetwork I figured that Might append it in hopes of pointing it out to you.

I am starting to think that there is no feature for saving current now playing lists on SN. If that is the case, then I do have a BIG SUGGESTION:

Because there are two very strong music services available now on SN (Rhapsody and MP3tunes) it really is seeming more and more like I spend no time on the computer based slimserver. If you think about the set-up - most people would want some way to make playlists.

In Rhapsody (the application) you can create playlists that are both subscription and local files. of course, you can't do that online because Rhapsody is just the files online. I find myself building now playing lists of basically mp3tunes tracks I own and Rhapsody tracks I lease.

Why not add a menu item (and I guess feature) to the MY MUSIC catagory on squeeze network that is called MY ONLINE PLAYLISTS.

What if you could hit whatever the remote button would be on slimserver while on NOW PLAYING and it would save that playlist to MY MUSIC_MY ONLINE PLAYLISTS

I guess the easiest thing would be that if yo hit the key while on NOW PLAYLING you would get the naming thng that let's you type a name.

Now - I know I have gone from suggestion to detailed spec (and for that I apologize) but now it seems really important (of course). If the argument would be that "what happens if now playing has a bunch of radio stations in it as well" I would say that you just purge the list of anything that is not an individual track (so basically only allow rhapsody and mp3tunes tracks). You can put radio stations in favorites. A playlist (or in this case an online laylist) is just a list of tracks in your libraries.

OK - enough then. Hope you will take a look and do one of those magic "I'll see if I can swing something" kind of responses :-)

Yeah I realize this is something we're lacking. I plan to build a
way to view the current playlist through the web, and so a feature to
save the playlist is a natural extension of that.
