Yeah I read it in Gramophone a few days ago (in my thirties, I imagine I am their youngest subscriber...), totally agog. That's quite a lot of work to go to, presumably for very little financial reward (?) and a great way to destroy the memory of your own wife. Nice.

From the Gramophone story: [a friend of the husband had] "compared the Bronfman and Hatto Rachmaninovs and thought the Hatto far superior". I think I'll avoid commenting on false positives in non-blind tests :)
