External IR receiver for the Transporter.

Does anyone know of an external IR receiver which would work with the IR input jack on the Transporter ?

I'd be interested in this too, or if anyone knows the spec of the input, I may be able to make my own.

I was interested in this because I was having difficulty controlling my Transporter because of it's location and the position of the IR sensor. However I just got a Harmony remote and set the T up as a device and it has no problem controlling from my normal position at all.

This leads me to believe that the Harmony has a higher power output so that makes you wonder if the standard remote could be modded to give a bit more power.

I suspect that any of the receivers from xantech would work. What is nice about them is that you can parallel many in a room and then feed am amplified distributer and send the signals to all components. In my theater I have several and people think that the IR remote is really RF
