Upgrading f/w on QNAP TS-101

I have just started using one of these excellent NASs. It came with f/w 1.2.1 ans SlimServer 6.3.
If I upgrade the f/w to 2.00, will I have to reinstall SS? SS is running fine although rescans take a bit of time, but I can live with that.

Feel free to upgrade to v2.0.0 of the Qnap firmware - it works fine with the SlimServer installed on your Qnap.

6.5.1 also works better than 6.5 did as the web interface is a little quicker.

A rescan on a TS-101/201 is always going to take a long time on a reasonable sized music collection as the unit only has a small amount of memory and a slow processor compared to what is in your PC/Mac

I have upgraded the firmware. It went without any problems. I was going to upgrade to SS 6.5 but after reading of the slow response to the web interfac, I think I will pass.
However, and unwanted 'feature' seems to have survived the upgrade. If, in Download Station I already have a file downloading and I add another task, the currently download task is cancelled, and eventually restarts from zero. Is this somethaing that youre aeare of?

Not something I have heard of before to be honest, probably best to take that one up with Qnap though as it isn't something we get involved in.
