Hi,

I'm just wondering if anyone has a copy of the squeezebox schematic? The seanadams.com link doesn't work anymore and i cant seem to find a copy anywhere else on the net.

Thanks a lot,

Sam

Yeah, I have wondered how much crap I could attach to the side of my house before raising eyebrows at the PC...

( dac.pdf didn't get archived, as far as I could tell )

thanks for the link, couldn't seem to find the schematic anywhere though...

I was kind of hoping someone might have kept a copy. I'm about to try a few mods on my SB3, and figured the schematic would more than likely come in handy at some point. Oh well, looks like ill be figuring things out the hard way. I have the schem for the output stage of the SB2 as a backup.

Thanks anyway,

Sam

The full schematics have never been released. However, I'm usually happy to answer specific questions.

Like the new title Sean, sounds very impressive ;-)

Strange that there was such a stink in the forums over the Logitech aquisition and this is the first change that I've actually noticed.

Hi Sean,

I'd like to fit a Newava S22083 1:1 in the SPDIF out circuit.
Whats the output impedance of the chip used for the spdif, also is there a coupling cap on the output?

Also noticed theres the KE grade dac chip already fitted in my SB3 which was a surprise:) is there a circuit diagram for the regulation we can look at? I currently run an external supply using one of ALW super regs with a LM1084 as the pre reg thats running the SB3, I was thinking of running the dac's 5v from the 5v input dc socket so bypassing the internal switcher and the internal 5v linear reg(if worth the time) also is the 3.3v reg for the dac run off the 5v reg for the dac or is it run from the switcher?
Sorry for all the questions:)

Kind Regards
Leo

Hi Sean,
also is there a coupling cap on the output?

Yes there is, I removed it today and placed a 1:1 pulse transformer, connected it directly to the chip (follow the lead from the cap to the flipflop chip).

Cheers for that:) hows it sounding now, any better?
Also what pulse transformer you using?

As you can see my SB3 already has a PCM1748KE grade already fitted
