Hope someone can help me with this ...
All was working well with SS (6.2.2) on QNAP, until one day I wanted to listen to the BBC and got the following message ...
"No Programmes Found!"
EDIT - Additional Info:
I got the above message if I right arrowed the radio station name, if I press play I get "NO STREAM!"
I also found the following in the error log ...
2006-12-31 12:57:01.9857 PlayableAODItem: Trying to get stream for: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/networks/radio1/live.shtml
2006-12-31 12:57:01.9918 Going to parse: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/networks/radio1/live.shtml
2006-12-31 12:57:02.0205 Opening connection to http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/networks/radio1/live.shtml: [www.bbc.co.uk on port 80 with path /radio/aod/networks/radio1/live.shtml with timeout 30]
2006-12-31 12:57:12.0321 Couldn't resolve IP address for: www.bbc.co.uk
2006-12-31 12:57:12.0375 PlayableAODItem got: /
END EDIT
So I tried Slim Devices Picks and got (after a lot of "fetching") ...
"Failed to parse <http:///www.slimdevices.com/picks/radio.opml>"
"Failed to connect to www.slimdevices.com:80. Perl's error is 'Input/output error'."
But, SqueezeNetwork is working fine, including (for example) the BBC world service.
Just in case I was falling behind on SS versions, I have installed the following ...
01-all-in-one-2006-05-30-ppc-module-update.tar.gz
01-SlimServer_v6.3.1-mpc82xx-2006-07-19-module-update.tar
02-plugins-pack-6.3.x-2006-07-23-module-update.tar
02-alienbbc-1.04-noarch-2006-06-28-module-update.tar
... all installs went ok, but didn't fix the prob.
Ideas?
I get exactly the same problem - I asked the question on the Beginners forum - people were helpful but nothing seems to work.
I think it must be a problem with using the QNAP TS101 - did yours come with SlimServer preloaded? I have watched my setup as I close down and SB3 closes after the QNAP - which is what you would expect - so does this mean that when trying to run any of the Internet radio options SB3 would be looking at the QNAP and not getting anywhere when it should be looking at SlimServer on the pc?
Is it the version of SlimServer - I am on 6.5.1 on the PC - I seem to have 6.2.2 loaded on the QNAP. Do they need to be kept in step? When yours went wrong had you taken a new build or was it that one day it stopped working?
I had the same problem .. do you have the TS101 set up with a static ip address?
If so you need to manually add in your DNS servers, it doesn't prompt you for these when you first set the TS101 up as static but if you go back into the TS101 admin then Network Settings .. TCP/IP Configuration you have primary and secondary DNS server ip address fields. I just added in my local router as the first DNS server and all is now fine.
Geoff - thanks, this could the problem as I do have a static IP address - so how do I find what my local router is called?

GeoffE: Thanks mate, you got me one step forward, but I have since taken half a step back again!
On checking my QNAP TCP/IP Configuration screen, although my DHCP settings were set to automatic, the entry for the Primary DNS Server was 0.0.0.0. So I pointed it at my router and re-booted.
So what effect did all that have?
If I right arrow on (for example) Radio 1 in AlienBBC the squeezebox successfully displays the list of programme options ... having been over to the bbc.co.uk to get the info.
BUT ...
If I try to play any of the programmes I still get an error message as follows on the squeezebox:
ERROR: CAN'T OPEN REMOTE URL
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/realaudio/media/r1live.rpm
and the following in the error log ...
PlayableAODItem: Trying to get stream for: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/networks/radio1/live.shtml
Going to parse: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/networks/radio1/live.shtml
PlayableAODItem got: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/realaudio/media/r1live.rpm
AlienBBC Playing : Radio 1 Listen Live Real Player(http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/realaudio/media/r1live.rpm)
ERROR: AsyncHTTP: Couldn't resolve IP address for: www.bbc.co.uk
... and I still get the same error as before if I try to connect to Slim Devices Picks.
How can some internet traffic now succeed, but some fail?
Also, I don't know if its relevant but having restarted my Server a few times today I notice that the first entry in the error log reads ...
Couldn't resolve IP address for: localhost
Is there a system setting on the QNAP or a config entry in SlimServer that may have got corrupted?
All further thoughts appreciated.
AlanE: If you control your router via a web interface, then the address you are looking for is the the URL you type in to get your command interface. eg. 10.0.0.0

I had exactly the same thing. There I was thinking it was just me.
When I first got my setup (TS-101 + 2 Squeezeboxes), it was not only the internet radio that didn't work, but the time displayed when the squeezeboxes were switched off, was always completely wrong. That was the part that really irritated me.
At first I couldn't get into the admin account, I was trying to use Netscape 7.2, and for some reason that doesn't work. Once I tried Internet Explorer, I could get straight into the admin account. Then I quickly spotted that the DNS was wrong. I entered the correct address, and it fixed both problems.
Richard.
Just to let you know - having talked to the supplier of my SB3 / TS101 it seems that the problem is that my internet connection using ADSL is connected via USB2 and therefore is not visible to the network. I have tried sharing the Internet via Windows 2000 - but no luck. So I am no waiting for a BT Home Hub which should overcome the problems.
Thanks for your suggestions!
Alan
