Hi,

I've had a search for the answer to this question with no success so apologies if i'm duplicating an earlier question.

I have recently acquired a QNAP TS-101 and hooked it up successfully to my wireless network and squeezebox. However, following a power cut last night, the slimserver is no longer running despite a couple of restarts of both it and the network itself.

When I go to the //[ip_address]:9000 page, I see a TwonkyMedia Status page and not the SlimServer that I am hoping for. My squeezebox is also unable to see a SlimServer running from the Qnap.

Is there a way to restart the SlimServer manually or any other solution to this problem?

Thanks in advance!

Rob

Further to the above, I am running slimserver 6.2.2 and have tried installing the "all-in-one" update and the "database clear" update. They both appear to have taken successfully but have not solved the problem.

It maybe the IP address of Slimserver has changed. Use the QNAP utility to verify the IP address. I have had power cuts and when it reboots the last number of the IP address changes.

You could try disabling Twonky as if this and SS is on the same port there would be trouble.

IP Address seems to be ok.

How might I disable Twonky, if that were to be the corect option?

From the Administration settings
Network settings:
Multimedia Station:
untick 'Enable UPnP MediaServer'

It works. Thanks very much for your help!

It's taken just long enough this morning that I missed out on doing any housework. Marvellous!

Happy to help :-)

I'm still really a newbie too.
