Tag showing improperly in SlimServer

I am an Adrian Monk (of Monk fame) kinda guy. Everything perfectly in its place.......almost....

I have about 9000 songs on my computer. Everything is in proper folders and tagged correctly.

But......

I have 3 albums that show incorrectly in SlimServer. Using Mp3tag (v 2.37) the tags are correct.

i.e Miranda Lambert's cd Kerosene shows a year (2005) in Slimserver but not in Mp3 tag (I do not use the year tag)
Gnarls Barkley's cd St Elsewhere shows the genre hip hop in Slimserver but Mp3tag shows it as rock (Which is correct I do not use the hip hop tag)

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Sounds like you might have multiple tags in these files - perhaps ID3v1 and ID3v2? Are these MP3 files or something else? You should be able to get mp3tag to tell you if you have multiple tag types in the files (search the forum, its in here somewhere).

I found the wiki on mp3tag and it was very helpful. I batch loaded my mp3 files and I found multiple tags of all varieties.
Cleaned that mess up and everything is prrrfect..........
