Hello,

I am planning to buy a Squeezebox3 on a short term. Currently I am running Slimserver 6.5.1 night release on a Linux Slackware box. This box is located in a LAN. This LAN has also a Linux router/fw (Slackware), which is connected to the internet.

I like to buy a Access Point to which the Squeezebox can connect to. This access point does not need router/firewall features, cause the Linux router takes care of this. Security of the wireless connection is important, as well as the availability and speed.

Do you have any experience/recommendations?

I was thinking of Linksys WAP55AG.

Any suggestion is welcome.

Best regards,

Ramsky

Hello

I have been trying to install and run Slimserver 6.5 on my Slackware (10.2) box without luck.

Did you have to do anything special to get it running?

Please share how you got it installed

Regards, Steinar, Oslo

I have used a WAP54G with my wired SB3 with good success with a line of sight through 90' of dirt and concrete.
