Hi,
I recently bought a squeezbox and have this setup:
-PC with slimserver (with all MP3s)
-squeezebox connected to HIFI
-laptop with music recording software

I want to be able to record guitar with the laptop and then listen to the recorded audio through squeezebox/HIFI WITHOUT adding anything to the slimserver music library. Ideally just stream the laptop audio out to the HIFI...

I was thinking maybe it could be done if I was able to broadcast from the laptop and pick up the broadcast on the squeezbox (like it does for an internet radio station), but I am new to this so don't know where to get started (what software etc.)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Use Winamp and Shoutcast server on your laptop, and tune in the resultant stream on slimserver as if it was an internet radio stream. There are a number of threads on this forum dealing with this - do a search.

http://www.shoutcast.com/download has all the info you need, and download is free. I use this scheme to rebro yahoo Launchcast radio to my squeezebox.
