I received this mail from him today:

"Sorry I haven’t been around recently – lots going on in the business. I will be back very soon.

We are testing the patch at the moment for external HDD’s and I hope to release it this week. We have also been working very hard getting the self install mechanism working which has taken up most of my time."

So don't give up fellow QNAPers! Nothing on adding memory but Paul is still around and he is still working on QNAP SSs for us.

So still no news about whether or not QNAPs will be able run SS6.5 properly. (Please don't anyone post "I'm happy with the way 6.5 runs on my QNAP")

Can you ask him if my 386 SX 20 with 4MB of RAM will run Microsoft Vista properly?

It will if you spend a lot of time hacking and removing the aero front end; the micro kernel; and most of the microsoft bloatware. You need to also enable the 16bit stuff - and remember your far* and near* pointers... and you will need access to the source code.
