Hi,

when I listen to a podcast (http://www.sr.se/Podradio/xml/P3_humor_Hej_domstol.xml)
before every stream starts, my SB makes a loud noise with perhaps double the volume of the rest of the stream.

It sounds pretty much as if I would scratch a LP or disconnect a cable (doesn't sound very healthy to the system or speakers).

I don't know if this has to do with that particular podcast or if it's general with podcast, but I thought it's strange that the SB could make noises louder than 100%.

I downloaded one of the mp3's in this podcast and found there is a lot of header data at the front of the file (an included 40K image). Unfortunately for remote files we don't skip header data so in this case it gets played as noise.

Ok, thanks for sorting that out.
Anyway, would you consider this to be a bug in the squeezebox or is it a non standard mp3-file and therefor an error with the actual stream?

Would you consider adding a fix to this in any feature release?

Do you know if the noise is harmfull for my system or my speakers in any way?

Yes it's a bug.
