Hi all

After using slimserver with a linkstation 2 for about 6 months I needed another nas with more space so I've just bought a frecom fsg-3, but I'm having problems with access to my music folder. I roughly know what I'm doing as Linkstation was working fine using unc folder naming - \\media-1\music, but using the same with the fsg-3 - \\fsg\music gives me a 'doesnt seem to be a valid directory. Its got to be an access problem but I'm stumped as to what it is. All dirs on fsg-3 have read/write access. I've seen other posts with \\[server]\[shared folder]\music but I dont know where the 'shared folder' is. I've also tried \\[server]\[user]\music. Any help would be appreciated.

Slimserver 6.5b 9314
Windows 2003 server
fsg-3 f/w 3.1.27, 3.1.29, 3.3.9 (tried all versions)

Thanks
Jed

You must have gotten a configuration program with the FSG-3...?

I now have bought a FSG500. Installed all my music on the FSG, running Slimserver on my Laptop. Everything is connected:
Laptop wireless to FSG
Securitylevel: WPA-personal
Squeezebox finds my network as well
SB can see the music files, but comes up with the error: cannot open file (might they be corrupted?)
SB can connect to internet (internet radio etc.)

Anybody an idea?

Senks,

Hein
