Emails not bouncing?

I tried to post a message to the beta list, but my from address was incorrect, so the message wasn't accepted.

In the past, I've instantly received a bounce mail from the list warning me that the post is awaiting approval.

This hasn't happened this time - has something changed or is something wrong with the mailing list server?
