Hi

My home has a number of rooms that are pre-wired (with speakers installed) to a central location and I'd like to use this for a multi room audio installation.

Putting all the marketing aside, the reality is that my needs are very simple. Bedrooms are not wired and will consequently have independent devices.

I really just want to listen to radio or music stored on my ReadyNAS throughout the house or have radio in one room with music in another. So, really simple stuff. However, the devil is in the detail....

I'm looking of connecting my SB3 into a Niles ZR-4630 but is there any clever way to control it all?

It seems I'll need one set of controls for the multi-room devive and another one for the SB3 and yet another one for each additional input device. :-(

Let me get a couple of piece of info from you so I can better answer your question:

1. How many rooms are you looking at having as part of your total system?

2. How many zones?

3. What content are you looking to pipe into your system (mp3s? radio out of the air? internet radio?)

And the only hardware you currently own are some speakers in some of the rooms, and the wiring for these terminates at a central location

... I just noticed how old this thread is... oh well..
