Can anyone recommend some good quality stereo internet music/radio streams covering easy listening, smooth jazz and country music. So many uk radio stations broadcast their audio at very low bit rates.
I am currently listening to Dinner Jazz [Sundays 18.00 to 20.00 bst] on Palm Fm [www.palm.fm] via my squeezebox in aacplus. Sounds great!

I enjoy this high bit rate station:

I was surprised at the quality AACplus can deliver with low bitrate. Many popular station have an aacplus feeds for better quality at same rate - such as
SomaFM Groovesalad
http://www.somafm.com/groovesalad48.pls
Sky FM smooth jazz

Sky FM classical guitar http://www.sky.fm/aacplus/guitar.pls
Smoothchoice

A directory of aacplus feeds if you wish to browse

Nice listing - thanks for the link. The Acoustic Cafe http://216.218.147.60:8002/ worked earlier on my system but now only stutters. Can someone else check? Thanks
Did a short test (10 mins) and no stutter but it was direct Mplayer - not through Slimserver to make sure it is not network problem.
To do AACplus you must have 6.3 - the bug in 6.2.x will cause frequent gaps.
Thanks for checking. Turns out I needed the latest Mplayer (1.0pre8) to not experience stuttering w/ this stream. (6.5 trunk, W2K)
AACplus sounds good (48 kbps)
