Hello :)

Im not sure if anybody can help me, im having trouble with Cue sheets...

I'm a budding DJ, and regualy do mixes for gigs, partys etc. - I've been asked if i would like to put some of the onto CD for fans...

Now: - i have recordings of my mixes in mp3, and id like the CD player, to change track, when the song changes.. but this is where i get stuck:

I've written the following:

FILE "draftPodcast1.mp3" MP3
TRACK 01 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 02 AUDIO
INDEX 00 00:07:38
TRACK 03 AUDIO
INDEX 00 00:51:56
TRACK 04 AUDIO
INDEX 00 04:17:89
TRACK 05 AUDIO
INDEX 00 07:02:37
TRACK 06 AUDIO
INDEX 00 12:20:55
TRACK 07 AUDIO
INDEX 00 15:05:50
TRACK 08 AUDIO
INDEX 00 18:01:82
TRACK 09 AUDIO
INDEX 00 21:23:33

Nero wont touch it, and Alc120% looks like this:

Type: Cue-sheets Image file
Path: C:\Documents and Settings\Crash\Desktop\
Name: Podcast.cue
draftPodcast1.mp3
Size: 32.39 MB
Session: 1
Track: 9

Session 01:
Track 01: Audio, Length: 000000(0 Byte), Address: 000000
Track 02: Audio, Length: 000000(0 Byte), Address: 000000
Track 03: Audio, Length: 000000(0 Byte), Address: 000000
Track 04: Audio, Length: 000000(0 Byte), Address: 000000
Track 05: Audio, Length: 000000(0 Byte), Address: 000000
Track 06: Audio, Length: 000000(0 Byte), Address: 000000
Track 07: Audio, Length: 000000(0 Byte), Address: 000000
Track 08: Audio, Length: 000000(0 Byte), Address: 000000
Track 09: Audio, Length: 014437(28.2 MB), Address: 000000

Which dont look right to me :(

Can someone help? :)

The last set of numbers (frame) in INDEX only goes from 0-74. That's the most common error in hand-edited cue sheets.

Thanks for the link, however - since you seem to know what your talking about, can you identify where i've gone wrong?

I've copied the example on wiki, so the cue now looks as follows:

TITLE "Draft Podcast"
PERFORMER "DJBoozy"
FILE "1.mp3" MP3 <=- renaming file to 1.mp3
TRACK 01 AUDIO
TITLE "Intro"
PERFORMER "DJBoozy"
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 02 AUDIO
TITLE "Track2"
PERFORMER "DJBoozy"
INDEX 01 00:07:38
TRACK 03 AUDIO
TITLE "Track3"
PERFORMER "DJBoozy"
INDEX 01 00:51:56
TRACK 04 AUDIO
TITLE "Track4"
PERFORMER "DJBoozy"
INDEX 01 04:18:14
TRACK 05 AUDIO
TITLE "Track5"
PERFORMER "DJBoozy"
INDEX 01 07:02:37
TRACK 06 AUDIO
TITLE "Track6"
PERFORMER "DJBoozy"
INDEX 01 12:20:55
TRACK 07 AUDIO
TITLE "Track7"
PERFORMER "DJBoozy"
INDEX 01 15:05:50
TRACK 08 AUDIO
TITLE "Track8"
PERFORMER "DJBoozy"
INDEX 01 18:02:07
TRACK 09 AUDIO
TITLE "Track9"
PERFORMER "DJBoozy"
INDEX 01 21:23:33

I would recommend trying to load it into EAC first; it will complain about invalid cues and give you the line number. There are some outstanding bugs in SlimServer related to cue sheets so I wouldn't test it there until you know it's correct.

Your cue looks fine to me though. There are also many programs that can generate them for you, the Wikipedia page has links to many of them.

I tried to create it in DCSoft CDRCue 2004

it complains the mp3 isnt there... but it is!

weird :\

i think i might just give this up as a bad job! - both nero and alc 120% wont burn my mp3 with this cue.

You might want to try putting in the full path to your mp3 file instead of just the filename. Although, I usually put just the filename in the cue and as long as the mp3 is in the same directory things work OK.
