Alien BBC and mac

Slimserver 6.2.2
Mac OS X 10.4.4

I uninstalled Alien BBC 0.98 (which worked perfectly), and installed Alien BBC 1.03.
When I play a stream, mplayer starts, but no sound is produced out of the squeezebox player.

Help appreciated.

Sorry for the delay - that looks OK.

What version of mplayer do you have - is it pre6? If so you need to edit the slimserver-convert.conf file to move the comments around.

How do I find out the mplayer version?

If it is pre6 (which I suspect), then can you show me how to correctly uncomment and comment?

Afraid I'm not a mac user so don't know the details.

Could you open a command line session and try running /usr/local/mplayer to see what it says is the version number.

Out of curiosity, what was the solution?

I ask because you have two posts within a few minutes of each other, one saying that you followed a suggestion and had no luck, and the other saying that some unspecified suggestion worked.

I uncommented/commented mplayer.sh... which seemed to do nothing.

Then i uncommented/commented slimserver-convert.conf.. to premplayer settings.. and that did the trick.

The difference in mplayer.sh are only for playing local files via mplayer (allows linux users to play wma files...)

The ones in slimserver-convert.conf are used for actual streaming.
