Sqeezebox 2 stoppped working :(

Hi All,

I have had my squeezebox 2 for less then a year now and I absolutly love it a great device. But after a while of not having the SB set up I decided to set it up again. However when I plugged it in there was nothing, dead, no nice writting flashing on the display. I do however hear the clunk of the speakers when i plug the power cable in? Any help would be appriaciated but in the worse case scenario can I return the SB as faulty i have had it less then a year so whould be within the normal 1 year warrenty?? I bought the SB from dabs in the UK as well :S

Press the brightness button - perhaps the brightness got set to 0.

You may also want to try a factory reset. Unplug it, press and hold the ADD button on the remote, and plug the power back in.

Thanks for the reply i didnt think about the brightness but i tried all your suggestions last night and there is still no display . However i can still hear the clunk when i plug the squeezebox in. Anyone have any other suggestion of what i can do?

I had some issues with SB3, when updated to firmware 48. Now I have reinstalled slimserver 6.2.1, which have brought down firmware number 26 and the issues have fixed up

My SB2 seemed to go dead (no display) on me when I moved it one day. I had to do a reset when plugging the power cable in and that did the trick..it obtained an IP address from my router and I was once again back in business. Kind of a sick feeling when the server cannot see a hard-wired device! It has been rock-solid ever since.

to be honest i havent tried to hard wire the SB to my router but failing that i still think my SB is dead. Does any one know of any way i can get it replaced or fixed on warrenty? As i said i only bought the SB last october from dabs in the UK.
